K2 Integrity appoints Aaron Karczmer as chief executive officer

K2 Integrity, a New York-based risk and compliance advisory firm, has appointed Aaron Karczmer as chief executive officer, effective October 8.

Karczmer succeeds founding CEO Jeremy Kroll, who has been named vice chairman of the board of directors. Kroll will also serve in a full-time management role focusing on growth, client services, and strategic investments.

Jules Kroll, co-founder, will transition from management to non-executive chairman of the board.

Based in K2’s New York headquarters, Karczmer is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise transformation, global operations, and risk.

He most recently spent eight years at PayPal, where he was chief enterprise services officer and chief risk and compliance officer. Before that, Kaczmer spent eight years at American Express, where he was chief compliance officer and head of global financial crime compliance.

Earlier in his career, he spent seven years at the New York County district attorney’s office, where he led the identity theft unit.

Kaczmer has a JD from Stanford University.

“Under Jeremy’s leadership, our firm has cemented itself as the premier resource for companies, public institutions, and governments seeking to anticipate, understand and address their most critical security challenges,” said Jules Kroll. “We believe that Aaron is the perfect choice to lead our efforts to broaden and strengthen our capabilities to help our clients navigate rapid political, economic and technological changes.”

Founded in 2009, K2 has practices in strategic advisory, financial crimes risk management, investigations and disputes, cyber risk management, crypto and digital asset solutions, national security, and internal audit services. The firm has more than 300 employees listed on LinkedIn and 10 offices worldwide.

“What makes K2 truly exceptional is its people,” Kaczmer said. “I look forward to meeting everyone and championing and supporting our teams as they continue to serve our clients and fuel the future of the company.”
