Modus Create hires Sharon Lynch as CEO
Modus Create, a Reston, VA-headquartered digital product engineering consultancy, has hired Sharon Lynch as chief executive officer. She is based in Seattle.
Lynch, the former head of Slalom’s digital product studio, will succeed Modus Create co-founder Pat Sheridan as CEO. Sheridan will transition to chairman.
Modus Create was founded in 2011 and has grown to more than 500 people across offices in the US, Costa Rica, France, and Romania.
The firm received a strategic investment from JLL Partners, a mid-market private equity firm, in 2022.
“Pat and the leadership group have built an incredible foundation, and I look forward to leading Modus into its next chapter,” Lynch said. “One where we help our clients modernize, adopt next-generation technologies, and thrive in a rapidly changing digital era.”
Lynch brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in technology consulting and product engineering. She spent the last 12 years at Slalom, where she was general manager of Slalom Build. Before that, Lynch spent seven years at Tribold, where she was director of professional services, and seven years at Accenture, where she was a manager working on strategy and software implementation engagements.
Lynch has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Washington State University.
“Sharon’s addition marks an exciting new chapter for Modus Create," said Gerard Van Spaendonck, head of value creation at JLL Partners. "Her track record of scaling technology firms makes her exceptionally well-suited to guide Modus Create in this next stage. We look forward to supporting her as she executes the company’s strategy and expands its global presence."
Modus Create has practices in AI and data, product development, design and UX, modernization, platform and MLOps, developer experience, and security. The firm’s technology partners include AWS, Atlassian, and GitHub.
Modus Create works with clients in financial services, life sciences, retail, and automotive.
