Guidepost makes three appointments in privacy practice
Guidepost Solutions, a New York-headquartered investigations and compliance consulting firm, has made three senior appointments in its privacy practice, naming Allison Spagnolo as deputy general counsel, Matthew Corwin as deputy chief privacy officer, and Bridget Bratt, DrBA, as a managing director.
Allison Spagnolo (Austin, TX), who has been at Guidepost Solutions since 2014, take on the role of deputy general counsel in addition to her current role as chief privacy officer. In her new role, Spagnolo will provide internal legal support, guidance, and oversight across the firm’s practice groups.
As chief privacy officer, she oversees the firm’s internal privacy compliance efforts. Spagnolo also leads the privacy and AI practices, advising clients on data protection, privacy risk, and AI governance and compliance.
Before joining Guidepost, Spagnolo was an attorney at Burt, Blee, Dixon, Sutton & Bloom LLP.
She has a juris doctor from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
Matthew Corwin (Washington, DC), in his additional role as deputy chief privacy officer, will support the firm’s internal privacy program. He joined Guidepost in 2023 as a managing director.
Corwin has 20+ years of experience specializing in privacy, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and IT risk management. He was previously virtual chief information security officer and general counsel at Truvantis, a boutique security and compliance consultancy.
Before that, Corwin was leader of the US privacy consulting practice at Cognizant and an internal audit manager at Symantec.
He has a juris doctor from the University of California, Irvine and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Los Angeles.
Bridget Bratt (Washington, DC) brings 25+ years of experience in privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
She joins from Protiviti, where she was director in the data protection and privacy practice. Before that, Bratt was practice manager for data protection at Optiv and data quality manager at DHL Logistics and Humana.
She has a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in business administration Franklin University.
