Bain & Company names Aaron Cheris as retail practice leader
Bain & Company, a Boston-headquartered management consulting firm, has promoted Aaron Cheris to leader of its global retail industry practice.
Cheris succeeds Marc-Andre Kamel, who has led the practice since 2018. Kamel will remain at Bain as chairman of the global retail practice.
Based in San Francisco, Cheris has been with Bain for more than 25 years. He previously served as Americas leader for retail and customer strategy & marketing.
Cheris has extensive experience advising retail industry clients on corporate and brand strategy, new concept development, omnichannel strategy, localization, customer segmentation, customer loyalty, real estate strategy, operating model, and private equity due diligence.
He holds an MBA from Stanford University and bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science from Occidental College in Los Angeles.
“I am honored with this appointment and energized to partner with our global team as we help retailers embrace this new era of AI head-on,” said Cheris. “Our team has a proven track record of delivering measurable results for our clients, from increased sales and reduced costs to improved customer experiences, high impact innovation, and superior shareholder value.”
In his new role as retail head, Cheris will help clients leverage AI solutions to adapt to industry changes and drive growth.
“Aaron is an inspirational client leader with a finger on the pulse of AI innovation,” said Laura Miles, Bain’s chief client officer and global head of industries. “His global mindset and wealth of experience across retail subsectors are invaluable to our mission of advising retail clients on delivering transformative technology solutions at scale.”
