CGI to acquire Atlanta firm Stratfield Consulting
CGI has agreed to acquire Stratfield Consulting, an Atlanta-based management and technology consulting firm.
The deal, which is slated to close this month, will add nearly 200 consultants to CGI’s Atlanta market – and bring the firm’s Atlanta headcount to approximately 600 employees.
Stratfield was founded in 2012 and focuses on serving clients in retail and financial services. The firm’s offerings span digital engineering and product development, technology strategy and enablement, and change management.
“Atlanta is a key market for CGI, with a strong and growing local presence,” said Vijay Srinivasan, president of US commercial and state government operations at CGI. “As Stratfield Consulting’s team joins CGI in Atlanta, we are strengthening how we support clients today while building for what’s next – bringing together local expertise with the end-to-end capabilities, scale and range of delivery models of CGI’s broader organization.”
This year, CGI is celebrating 50 years in business. The Montreal-headquartered firm has 94,000 people globally providing services in business consulting, applications, systems integration, infrastructure, business process services, and managed IT.
“We were deliberate in finding a partner that values trusted client relationships, deep expertise, and a strong local presence,” said Butch Benford, CEO of Stratfield Consulting. “Together, we can deliver even greater value, locally and wherever our clients need us most.”
