RSM US adds Joseph Taiano as chief marketing officer
RSM US, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has hired Joseph Taiano as chief marketing officer.
Taiano brings more than 25 years of global marketing experience to RSM. He joins from Accenture’s New York office, where he spent 21 years and latterly served as global head of marketing for growth & strategy and head of marketing for Accenture Song.
Before that, he was North American head of marketing for the consumer & manufacturing industries and global head of marketing for retail, consumer goods & travel.
Prior to his tenure at Accenture, Taiano spent six years with Deloitte, where he was a marketing manager in the national financial services practice.
He has a bachelor’s degree in public accounting from Pace University.
In his new role with RSM US, Taiano will focus on elevating the firm’s brand and sharpening its presence in the middle market – spanning organizations with $30 million to $10 billion in annual revenue. He will oversee brand evolution, marketing modernization, and integrated go-to-market strategy.

RSM is the fifth-largest accounting and consulting firm in the United States, with revenue of $4 billion and approximately 17,000 employees. The US firm last year formed a transatlantic partnership with RSM UK – which fell short of a financial merger but created a new leadership structure that spans the two companies and dictates partner pay.
