Teneo adds three senior managing directors in forensic practice
Teneo, a New York-headquartered consulting firm, has added three US-based senior managing directors in its global forensic practice within its financial advisory segment: Jared Crafton, Jeff Garfield, and Brent McDaniel.
Based in Boston, Jared Crafton joins as head of digital forensic, e-discovery, and analytics in the US. He brings 20+ years of professional services experience with a focus on transforming investigations and litigation with AI, analytics, and e-discovery processes.
Crafton has provided expert testimony in forensic data science for numerous legal proceedings.
He previously spent four years with BDO, where he was a principal and US forensic technology practice leader. Before that, he spent 13 years with EY, where he was a principal, and three years with Deloitte, where he was a senior associate.
Crafton has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Brandeis University.
Based in Indianapolis, Jeff Garfield brings more than 20 years of experience focusing on regulatory compliance and forensic investigations. He has expertise in financial and fraud investigations, SEC compliance, anti-bribery and corruption initiatives, and compliance program transformation.
Garfield joins Teneo from Charles River Associates, where he spent three years as a vice president. Before that, he spent eight years as a principal in KPMG’s risk advisory practice and three years as director of forensic services at medtech firm Stryker.
Earlier in his career, Garfield was a manager at Alvarez & Marsal and a senior consultant at Deloitte.
He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University Bloomington.
Based in Dallas and London, Brent McDaniel brings 30+ years of professional services, energy industry, and government experience in investigations, anti-corruption, and ethics and compliance.
He previously spent 14 years with KPMG, where he was a partner, and three years with PwC, where he was a director. McDaniel also spent two years as director of ethics and compliance at British Petroleum and seven years with the US Department of the Treasury, where he was a supervisory special agent leading international white collar criminal investigations.
He began his career at Kerr McGee Oil & Gas Corp., where he was a staff accountant.
McDaniel has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Oklahoma.
