Teneo expands global political risk advisory practice

Teneo, a New York-based management consultancy, has expanded its global political risk advisory practice with the addition of four senior advisors and two promotions.

The new senior advisor hires are:

Sir Richard Moore, former chief of MI6
Stacey Dixon, former acting US director of National Intelligence
General Frank McKenzie, former US Centcom commander
General Jim Hecker, former commander of the US Air Forces in Europe

Teneo also promoted Nitin Chadda to president of global political risk advisory. In the newly created role, Chadda will bring Teneo’s integrated political risk offering to clients as global dynamics dramatically reshape markets. He will also join the firm’s global management team.

Chadda will continue to serve as co-founder and managing partner of WestExec Advisors.

Teneo’s political risk advisory and government affairs team includes WestExec Advisors and has more than 200 professionals worldwide.

Teneo in 2021 acquired a minority stake in WestExec, a DC-based political risk consultancy, and in 2022 acquired a majority stake.

The firm also promoted Kevin Kajiwara to global chair of political risk advisory. In the new role, he will continue to advise key clients, as well as represent the firm at global events and in the media, and contribute to Teneo’s thought leadership.

Kajiwara has been with Teneo since 2013. Before joining the firm, he was director of the strategic clients group at Eurasia Group.

“We are delighted to announce Nitin and Kevin’s new roles as well as welcome an exceptional group of highly respected Senior Advisors to build upon our significant political risk advisory capabilities,” said Paul Keary, CEO of Teneo.

“Geopolitical risk and government relations is in our DNA as a firm. It is also in the DNA of global markets and corporate strategy. Never more so than today,” Keary added. “In this environment where business outcomes are increasingly determined by government actions and geopolitical shocks, actionable geopolitical and policy insight is central to CEO and Board decision making.”

Teneo has more than 1,800 people across 50+ offices worldwide. The firm has practices in financial advisory, management consulting, people advisory, risk advisory, and strategy and communications.
