Hitachi Solutions promotes Roger Lvin to CEO and president

Hitachi Solutions, a Tokyo-headquartered Microsoft solutions provider, has promoted Roger Lvin to chief executive officer and president.

Based in Boston, Lvin has more than 20 years of IT consulting experience. He has deep expertise in scaling technology-led consulting businesses and helping organizations translate digital innovation into business outcomes.

Lvin most recently spent two years at sister company Hitachi Digital Services, a Santa Clara, CA-based provider of systems integration services for information technology and operational technology (OT), where he built out the company as founding CEO.

Before that, Lvin spent three years as president and board member at Hitachi Vantara (which in 2020 subsumed Hitachi Consulting, the former consulting division of Grant Thornton US).

Before joining the Hitachi conglomerate of companies, Lvin spent 17 years with Cognizant, where he was latterly global market head of digital operations (business process services).

He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Brandeis University.

“Roger’s leadership and growth mindset come at a pivotal moment in our evolution,” said Soichiro Ohara, chairman of Hitachi Solutions. “As we expand our global footprint, his experience will help sharpen our focus on innovation, execution, and long-term value creation for organizations worldwide.”

Hitachi Solutions was founded in 2002 and focuses exclusively on the Microsoft ecosystem. The company provides services in advisory, application innovation, cloud, AI, security, data, and managed services for Microsoft products including Azure, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.

Hitachi Solutions has more than 3,500 people globally.

“I am honored to lead Hitachi Solutions and build on its strong legacy of delivering meaningful business transformation,” said Lvin. “Underpinned by Hitachi’s commitment to social innovation, we have a powerful opportunity to partner with organizations globally to accelerate transformation, unlock new sources of growth, and create lasting competitive advantage.”
