Efficio hires Jonathan Rutman as head of business development for North America
Efficio, a London-headquartered procurement and supply chain consultancy, has hired Jonathan Rutman as head of business development for North America.
Based in Chicago, Rutman brings more than 20 years of procurement and supply chain technology and consulting. In his new role, Rutman will focus on accelerating Efficio’s growing presence in North America.
The British firm has 15 offices globally, including North American locations in Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Mexico City. Efficio has more than 1,300 employees listed on LinkedIn and bills itself as the world’s largest specialist procurement and supply chain consultancy.
“Jonathan’s appointment reflects our continued investment in North America and our commitment to supporting clients as they face increasingly complex procurement and supply chain challenges,” said Patrick Traynor, VP and North American lead at Efficio. “His functional experience, combined with his ability to design and deliver initiatives aligned to clients’ strategic priorities, will enable our clients to realize and sustain measurable results.”
Rutman joins Efficio from spend analysis software firm SpendHQ, where he spent nearly four years as a regional sales director. Before that, he was a regional sales director at Insight Sourcing Group (now Accenture) and a senior account executive at Gartner. Rutman also served as a director at The Hackett Group and CEB (now Gartner).
Earlier in his career, he was a senior consultant at BearingPoint and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, where he worked on SAP and Oracle engagements.
Rutman has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Ohio University.
“We are seeing a lot of organizations who have invested heavily in strategy yet have not realized the expected returns,” Rutman said. “Efficio’s approach of partnering and embedding alongside client teams enables the execution of strategy while also building internal capability.”
Founded in 2000, Efficio works with blue-chip multinationals, public sector organizations, and private equity firms to reduce costs and improve margins, build and upskill teams, strengthen supply chain resilience, and maximize sustainability improvements.
