Growth Catalyst Group hires Maia Benson as chief commercial officer
Growth Catalyst Group (GCG), a Los Angeles-based supply chain technology and consulting company, has hired Maia Benson as chief commercial officer (CCO).
Based in New York, Benson will lead commercial strategy across GCG’s portfolio of companies – including Advatix (supply chain advisory and technology); Archway (marketing execution services and technology); Xpdel (fulfillment and logistics); and Archer Corporate Services (B2B and D2C fulfillment and services).
She brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling SaaS and logistics businesses. Benson most recently spent two years as chief business officer at FlavorCloud, an SaaS platform for global compliance and logistics. Before that, she spent five years at Shopify, where she was the second US employee and served as global head of shipping and fulfillment.
Earlier in her career, Benson spent three years at Pitney Bowes, where she was global head of SendPro, the company’s inaugural SaaS multi-carrier shipping application.
She began her career working in the sales functions of Xerox and LexisNexis.
Benson has an MBA from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.
“We have built a lot over the last 10 years, and Maia is exactly the kind of operator-entrepreneur, industry expert, and technology leader GCG needed as we scale our business to create higher value for more clients,” said Manish Kapoor, founder and CEO of GCG. “Her track record of building category-defining businesses in logistics and her deep conviction in the power of end-to-end supply chain thinking make her the ideal leader for this moment.”
GCG has 1,500 employees across offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
