NTT Data buys Microsoft partner WinWire
NTT Data, a Tokyo-headquartered IT consulting firm, has agreed to acquire WinWire, a Santa Clara, CA-headquartered Microsoft consulting firm.
Founded in 2007 by Ashu Goel and Vineet Arora, WinWire is a six-time Microsoft partner of the year award winner and finalist. The firm specializes in agentic AI, AI on Azure, data engineering, and cloud native development.
WinWire’s practices include cloud migration, application modernization, product engineering, Java development, data platform and analytics, UX consulting, digital marketing, AI and machine learning, and cloud DevOps and automation.
The firm has more than 1,000 people across headquarters in Santa Clara and delivery centers in India.
The WinWire acquisition will strengthen NTT Data’s global Microsoft practice – including for Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI Foundry products.
“By combining WinWire’s deep expertise in cloud-native development and agentic AI with NTT DATA’s global scale, this positions us to lead the shift to enterprise AI, enabling clients to move from experimentation to enterprise-wide deployment and achieve meaningful business outcomes,” said Abhijit Dubey, CEO and chief AI officer of NTT Data Inc., the subsidiary covering NTT Data’s global business outside of Japan.
NTT Data’s global Microsoft practice spans Microsoft Cloud, security, and AI, and has more than 24,000 certifications and operates across 50+ countries. The consultancy was named Microsoft’s 2025 global system integrator growth champion partner of the year.
“Joining NTT DATA marks an exciting new chapter, allowing us to extend our capabilities to a much broader global client base. Together, we are well positioned to accelerate innovation and shape the next wave of AI-driven transformation for our clients,” said Ashu Goel, CEO of WinWire.
NTT Data has 190,000 people across 70+ countries and annual revenue exceeding $30 billion. The firm provides services across applications, cloud, infrastructure, CX, AI, data, and cybersecurity, among other areas.
