KPMG signs global alliance with Anthropic

KPMG has entered a global alliance with Anthropic, which will see further integration of the AI leader’s Claude tools into the Big Four firm’s delivery capabilities.

The alliance will initially focus on tax clients and private equity firms. KPMG will embed Claude Cowork and Managed Agents in KPMG Digital Gateway, an Azure-based client delivery platform that combines tax insights, proprietary tools, and client data in one environment.

“Building an AI agent to help clients adjust to changing tax regulations used to take weeks and required teams to switch between multiple tools and chat windows,” said Rema Serafi, vice chair, tax at KPMG US. “With Cowork and Managed Agents integrated in Digital Gateway, that same capability takes minutes. This is a totally different way of working.”

KPMG US will also integrate Claude into its private equity offerings, co-developing Claude-based products to help portfolio companies drive productivity gains.

All of KPMG’s 276,000-person global workforce will now have access to the Claude suite – building on successful adoption of the tools in KPMG US’ advisory, AI, data labs, and enterprise support teams in the last two years.
