Veracity Forensics adds two leaders

Veracity Forensics, a Dallas-headquartered digital forensic consulting firm, has hired Chris Schmidt as director of client and project management and Michah Hobart as business manager.

Based in Dallas, Schmidt will lead client engagement and project execution across the firm’s digital forensics, investigation, and data collection practice.

He brings more than two decades of experience in digital forensics, customer success, and operational leadership. Schmidt has served as a consulting and testifying expert on numerous complex litigation matters.

He joins from ArcherHall, a digital forensics and cybersecurity firm, where he spent three years and was director of client experience. Before that, Schmidt was chief customer officer at Forensic Pursuit, a boutique consultancy he co-founded in 2006.

Based in Dallas, Hobart will oversee Veracity’s business operations, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth.

He brings 30+ years of executive leadership experience, having built and managed businesses across fintech, payments, consulting, and operations. Hobart in 2024 founded Liberty Payments Solutions, a consultancy focusing on payments, fraud, and risk consulting. Before that, he co-founded and served as COO of Paperless Transaction Corporation – growing the firm over two decades into a national payment processing company serving 15,000 clients across the country.

Founded in 2022, Veracity provides services in digital forensics, investigations, expert witness, and discovery to law firms and corporate legal departments. The consultancy conducts forensic analysis across mobile devices, cloud platforms, and multimedia for cases involving departed employees, theft of trade secrets, data exfiltration, white-collar defense, government and internal investigations, and bankruptcy.
