Brian Ganser joins Cohen & Co as head of advisory practice

Brian Ganser has joined Cohen & Co, a top-50 accounting and consulting firm, as partner-in-charge of advisory.

Based in Chicago, Ganser will oversee strategy, growth, and operational performance of the advisory practice – which includes the office of the CFO, valuation, and transaction services offerings.

He brings more than 25 years of experience leading and advising mid-market companies – with expertise in accelerating growth, executing strategic acquisitions, and navigating ownership transitions.

Ganser previously served as president of Launch Consulting Group and Strive Consulting. Earlier in his career, he was managing partner at AIM Consulting Group, a managing director at Slalom, and a director at Perficient.

Ganser has an MBA from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Millikin University.

“As we continue to expand our services to help clients improve performance, execute strategic initiatives and prepare for growth, Brian is the perfect fit both culturally and from a technical perspective to build on the group’s momentum and deliver results on a national scale,” said Chris Bellamy, CEO of Cohen & Co.

The Cleveland-headquartered firm says that it has significantly grown its advisory practice via organic and inorganic means. Recent acquisitions that have expanded the practice include Cleveland-based Tax & Wealth Management, Chicago-based Tassi and Company, and New York-based Gioffre & Company.

Cohen & Co is the 42nd largest accountancy in the US, according to IPA, with $183.8 million in annual revenue. The firm has 900 employees across 15 offices nationwide.
