Pearl Meyer hires Emily Daughters as chief people officer
Pearl Meyer, an executive compensation and leadership consulting firm, has hired Emily Daughters as chief people officer.
Based in the firm’s Boston headquarters, Daughters brings nearly two decades of experience in talent strategy, organizational development, and human resources leadership at professional services firms.
In her new role, Daughters will oversee Pearl Meyer’s HR strategy and operations – including attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent; expanding professional development opportunities; and enhancing employee experience.
She succeeds Kathy Baron, chief human resources officer, who recently retired.
“We believe the strongest organizations align leadership, talent, and rewards around a clear strategy,” said Jayson Traxler, who was appointed CEO of Pearl Meyer earlier this year. “Emily’s experience developing people and helping firms grow will strengthen the collaborative, high-performance culture where our colleagues can do their best work and deliver exceptional results for clients.”
Daughters most recently spent two years as chief people officer of management consultancy Roland Berger. Before that, she spent over 20 years in the legal sector, including nine years at Brown Rudnick LLP – where she was chief talent officer – and seven years at Goodwin Procter LLP, where she was manager of staffing and professional development.
Prior to her tenure in HR leadership, Daughters was a litigation associate at Krokidas & Bluestein and Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar.
She has a juris doctor from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish from Bates College.
“I am excited to build on Pearl Meyer’s strong culture, create opportunities for colleagues to grow, and help our teams remain creative, resilient, and focused on clients,” Daughters said.
Pearl Meyer was founded in 1989 and has over 150 professionals across eight US offices. The firm specializes in advising boards and senior management on building, developing, and rewarding high-performance leadership teams.
Pearl Meyer has offerings across executive, director, and employee compensation; leadership excellence, board effectiveness, and CEO and executive succession; and industry and lifecycle services spanning M&A, private equity, healthcare, life sciences, banking, and real estate.
