KPMG names Jason LaRue as leader for talent and culture

KPMG US has promoted Jason LaRue to vice chair of talent and culture.

LaRue, who has been with KPMG for over two decades, succeeds Sandy Torchia, who is retiring at the end of September after nearly 30 years with the Big Four accountancy.

Based in Providence, RI, LaRue will oversee talent and culture strategies and all human resources activity for the 35,000-person firm – including workforce planning and deployment, total rewards, recruiting, talent management, and learning.

He joins the KPMG US management committee, where he will work with the leadership team to develop and implement initiatives that align talent strategy with overall business strategy.

LaRue most recently spent three years as national managing partner for talent and culture. Before that, he was US head of total rewards and head of HR business advisors and people relations advisors.

Before his 21-year tenure with KPMG, LaRue spent five years at Bank of America, where he was an HR and recruiting professional.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University.
