Birgit Boykin named chief people officer of Oliver Wyman and Marsh Management Consulting

Birgit Boykin has been promoted to chief people officer of Oliver Wyman and Marsh Management Consulting (formerly Oliver Wyman Group), effective October 1, 2026.

Based in San Francisco, Boykin will oversee the HR function of 7,000-person management consultancy Oliver Wyman as well as Marsh Management Consulting – which comprises Oliver Wyman, NERA Economic Consulting, and Lippincott.

Boykin joined Oliver Wyman last year as chief people officer for the Americas. A human resources executive with more than 25 years of experience across consulting and asset management, Boykin previously spent eight years with BlackRock, where she was a managing director and global HR business partner for technology and operations. Before that, she spent 13 years with Strategy&/Booz & Company, where she was director for global partner affairs.

Boykin has an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration.

Oliver Wyman is headquartered in New York City and provides consulting in strategy, operations, sales and marketing, and digital, among other areas. Parent company Marsh has annual revenue of $27 billion and more than 95,000 employees.
