Capco adds Glen Ragland as partner in Houston office
Management and technology consulting firm Capco has appointed Glen Ragland as a partner in the firm energy solutions practice in Houston. Ragland has more than 30 years of business, entrepreneurial, consulting, and technology operations management experience, with much of his career spent in oil and gas, chemicals, and utilities.
In his new role, Ragland will concentrate on digital transformation, market growth, and alliance partnerships with energy clients. Capco focuses on providing business and technology consulting to financial services and energy sector clients, with more than 4,000 global employees across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Previously, Ragland led his company Ragland Enterprises, a strategy and operations focused consultancy supporting the oil and gas, petrochemical, transportation, and utilities sectors. Before that, he co-founded Versona Systems, which provided clients with mobile solutions and automated data collection, wireless networking, systems integration, and electronic security. Ragland also co-founded Junot Systems, which delivered SAP integration solutions.
He started his consulting career at EY, where he was a senior manager in the management consulting practice. He specialized in IT and transformation engagements with clients in energy, manufacturing, and transportation. Ragland has a degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University, as well as a BS in production and operations from the University of North Texas.
“We are thrilled to have Glen join our team in Houston,” said Lance McAnelly, managing partner of Capco Energy Solutions. “Glen’s deep relationships, experience and connections across the community are sure to make him an invaluable asset to our team and clients.”
Ragland arrives after the firm strengthened its Houston energy practice with the addition of another partner in October. Capco welcomed new partner Bob Stilwell, who brought more than 20 years of consulting technology operations management experience. Stilwell was previously client service lead at Slalom (previously Slalom Consulting), where he helped growth the consultancy’s Houston market across energy, utilities, and chemicals.
