Cornerstone hires Heidi Spirgi as chief marketing and strategy officer

Cornerstone OnDemand, a human capital management technology and consulting firm, has appointed Heidi Spirgi as its chief marketing and strategy officer. Spirgi brings more than 20 years of human capital management industry and consulting experience to the role.

Founded in 1999, Santa Monica, CA–based Cornerstone OnDemand delivers software solutions that help organizations strategically manage their talent, from recruiting and personalized learning through to performance management and compensation. The company also helps clients with implementation, offering services in training, support, and optimization to get the most out of the Cornerstone platform.

The firm’s platform is used by more than 3,500 global clients across 192 countries, including high-profile organizations like Virgin Media, Hallmark, and Wendy’s. Cornerstone has two dozen offices spanning the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, and an employee headcount of nearly 2,000 employees. The firm had $481.9 million in revenue in 2017.

Cornerstone’s new chief marketing and strategy officer, Heidi Spirgi, will lead the company’s global marketing functions, while also driving strategy for the business. She will leverage more than 20 years of experience in talent management to help Cornerstone define the vision for its next generation of talent experience solutions.
Cornerstone hires Heidi Spirgi as chief marketing and strategy officerA veteran of the human capital management (HCM) industry, Spirgi has deep experience in new and emerging HR technology, as well as a long track record of strategically advising CHROs at large organizations.

Previously, Spirgi was senior vice president of products and services at The Marcus Buckingham Company (now ADP), a talent management firm. In the role, she directed the strategy and deployment of the company’s technology products. Before that, she co-founded a strategic HCM consultancy – Knowledge Infusion – in 2004. Her company was acquired by IT consultancy Appirio in 2012, where she went on to serve as senior vice president of strategy and HCM, before joining The Marcus Buckingham Company.

Earlier in her career, Spirgi was a senior product marketing manager at PeopleSoft, and a human resource management system business analyst at Seagate Technology and Swiss Bank Corp. She holds an MA from UCLA, as well as a BA from the University of Michigan.
