Cognizant to acquire tech consultancy Contino

Global professional services firm Cognizant has announced final plans for the acquisition of technology consultancy Contino, which employs approximately 350 people out of offices in the UK, US, and Australia. The sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Contino focuses on assisting Global 2,000 businesses in its five area of expertise: cloud transformation, enterprise DevOps, the modernization of IT security, the development of cloud-native software, and advanced data analytics. Since 2014, the firm has worked on more than 200 projects with more than 100 companies, including Adidas, Barclays, Vodafone, and JetStar.

Cognizant to acquire tech consultancy Contino

Contino is headquartered in London and was named a “top startup” in the UK by LinkedIn in 2018 and 2019. The firm is also a global premier partner with Amazon Web Services, and holds “deep expertise” in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. 

Cognizant, meanwhile, is ranked 193 on the Fortune 500. The firm, headquartered in Teaneck, New Jersey, focuses on IT consultancy and services, and operates out of 166 offices globally. It reported revenue of more than $16 billion in 2018. It employs more than 288,000 people.
