PA Consulting appoints Panos Kakoullis as CEO-elect
PA Consulting, a global innovation and transformation advisory firm, has appointed Panos Kakoullis as its CEO-elect. He brings three decades of consulting experience to the role.
Kakoullis will work with current CEO Alan Middleton and transition into the role of CEO over the course of 2020. Middleton, who has served as CEO at the London-based firm for 13 years, will move to support the firm in an advisory capacity.
“I'm delighted to welcome Panos to PA," Middleton said. "His wealth of industry experience, track-record of leading within professional services, skills in client and relationship development, and experience of managing complex global operations will make him a great leader for PA. I’m looking forward to working alongside Panos as we embark on the next phase of our ambitious growth plan.”
Kakoullis joins from Deloitte, where he has spent the breadth of his 30-year career in consulting. He most recently served as managing partner and global audit & assurance business leader at the Big Four firm. In the role, which he held since 2015, he was responsible for transforming and innovating the audit & assurance business by using the latest technologies.
Before that, Kakoullis was the UK managing partner of the audit business. He joined Deloitte UK’s audit practice in 1989. He holds a master of arts in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge.
“I’m really excited to be joining PA Consulting at such a pivotal time,” Kakoullis said. “PA occupies a unique place in the market with its exceptional record of delivering smart, world changing innovation for its clients for over 75 years. I’m looking forward to working with Alan and our people to sustain this outstanding record and to further enhance PA’s reputation for bringing ingenuity to life for our clients and for society as a whole.”
