UHY Advisors appoints Michael Antovski as chief operating officer

UHY Advisors, a Detroit area-based national accounting and consulting firm, has hired seasoned tax attorney Michael Antovski as its chief operating officer. He will be based in the company’s corporate headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

As COO, Antovski will oversee the firm’s national shared services, including finance, information technology, marketing, corporate compliance, and human resources. He will also take an active part in acquisition initiatives and executing the strategic vision of the board.

Antovski brings more than 20 years of professional services experience to UHY. He was previously a member at business advisory and advocacy law firm McDonald Hopkins. Before that he was a partner at business law firm Bodman, and a partner at multidisciplinary, international law firm Clark Hill Law.

Antovski has been the lead tax partner on numerous mergers and acquisitions, and has led a number of corporate restructuring initiatives. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including financial services firms, entrepreneurs, and private equity companies.

He holds an LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD from the University of Detroit, and a BA in accounting from Michigan State University.
