Wipro launches Designit Studio in Dallas
Tech consultancy Wipro has extended Designit, the firm’s strategic design arm, into Dallas with the launch of a new studio. The Dallas location is the third Designit studio, joining previous outposts in San Francisco and New York.
Designit has worked with notable firms such as BMW, Cisco, and FedEx to develop people-centered experiences and organizations.
In Dallas, the company will work with companies to design innovative business offerings, user experiences, services, and organizational processes. Wipro selected Dallas because the city has a large and growing market, with large corporate headquarters as well as a booming tech and startup sector.
“Our approach to design is holistic, and multidisciplinary, working together with business and technology to deliver solutions that serve people, and drive sustainable business growth," Ayal Levin, executive director, Designit, Dallas, said. “We're very excited to setup the new studio in Dallas, and to provide strategic design services outside of the traditional coastal corridors and help Dallas' companies design what matters.”
The studio will be located within Wipro’s Dallas regional offices, which boast a team of more than 1,500 employees. Designit will look to hire a number of new employees in the region in the coming months.
"Wipro is proud that Designit is part of our team; their strategic design services lead to digital experiences that our clients and their customers love," said Rajan Kohli, president Wipro Digital, Wipro Limited. "Designit's studios in San Francisco and New York have been extremely successful, and we expect our Dallas studio to follow suit."
The firm officially launched the Designit studio at an event at the Dallas Museum of Art on March 3, which included discussions on “designing the future today.”
Wipro Digital, the digital business unit of Wipro, recently acquired Rational Interaction, a Seattle-based digital customer experience consultancy. The move bolstered Wipro Digital’s offering for chief marketing officers (CMOs).
