Ankura appoints Embree 'Chuck' Bedsole senior managing director
Business advisory and expert services firm Ankura has announced the appointment of Embree “Chuck” Bedsole as senior managing director.
Bedsole will be based in Dallas, Texas, and will focus on improving Ankura’s hospitality and leisure services. Additionally, Manuel Bremont and Hector Medina join the firm as managing director and senior director, respectively. Bremont and Medina will likewise work to enhance Ankura’s hospitality and leisure services.

Bedsole joins Ankura from professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal, where he spent nearly 15 years – most recently as global leader of the firm’s hospitality and leisure group. There, he advised clients on asset types such as hotels, resorts, hotel condominiums, and marinas. He career spans approximately 40 years – 23 with international professional services firm and five years of C-level experience with hospitality companies, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, development, finance operations, and marketing.
Additionally, Bedsole carries with him expertise in restructuring and turnaround, including supporting clients during major lodging industry downturns and serving as chief restructuring officer for large destination resorts. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
