Cognizant acquires Salesforce marketing specialist Lev

Tech consultancy Cognizant has acquired Lev, an Indianapolis-based digital marketing consultancy.

Founded in 2006, Lev helps clients use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver data-driven insight and personalization across the customer journey. A Salesforce Platinum Partner, Lev helps business leverage the platform’s functionality in automation and data to streamline and modernize their marketing campaigns.

The firm’s offerings span strategy, implementation, integration, data and analytics, marketing consulting, and support. Lev has served clients in a range of industries, including technology, financial services, and healthcare. The company has a team of approximately 200 employees, with offices in Indianapolis, Indiana and Chandler, Arizona.

Cognizant’s acquisition of Lev further strengthens its Salesforce consulting capability in the US. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020.

"Lev is Cognizant's third cloud-related acquisition announced in 2020. It will expand Cognizant's consulting capabilities to help marketers implement Marketing Cloud, personalize customer connections and, in turn, generate better leads. Coupling this with our deep Salesforce quote-to-cash expertise, we will enable clients to effectively use the cloud to transform their critical lead-to-cash processes."

The firm earlier this year acquired Code Zero Consulting, an Atlanta-based consulting firm focusing on Salesforce configure-price-quote (CPQ) and billing solutions.

Salesforce consulting services have seen increasing demand, with the platform remaining the top dog in CRM software. The need for Salesforce consultants has even pushed Deloitte to roll out initiatives to train and funnel college students into the area.
