Prager Metis acquires accounting and consulting firm Nagano Morita
Prager Metis CPAs, a New York-headquartered accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Nagano Morita, a Los Angeles-based accounting and consulting firm,
Founded in 1984, Nagano Morita specializes in providing accounting, audit, tax, and business consulting solutions to Japanese-American businesses and individuals. The firm’s consulting offering includes compliance advisory, stock valuation consulting, and software services consulting.
The company has grown to five office locations in the US – in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and Torrance, California; Fort Lee, New Jersey; and Boston. Nagano Morita International in Tokyo acts an important liaison office to the US offices, but is a separate and independent entity not included in the Prager Metis acquisition.
Nagano Morita will now operate under the name “Nagano Morita, a division of Prager Metis.” The transaction closed on November 1, 2020.

Prager Metis was formed in 2013 through the merger of accounting and consulting firms Prager Fenton LLP and Metis Group LLC. The firm today is a Top 50 US accounting firm, with more than 100 partners and principals and 600 team members across 19 US locations, as well as international locations in London, the Cayman Islands, and Chennai, India.
Prager Metis provides audit, tax, and advisory solutions to clients in a wide range of industries.
