Ankura promotes 12 to senior managing director in United States
Consulting firm Ankura has promoted a dozen people to senior managing director in its US operations. The firm also made two senior managing director promotions in its international offices.

Dennis Patrick Barrett (turnaround & restructuring, New York) has more than 12 years of experience, focusing on advising debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 and out-of-court workout situations. He has expertise in financial restructuring, strategic planning, business valuation, debt-for-equity swaps, and 363-asset sales. Before joining Ankura, Barrett was a senior director at FTI Consulting.
Brendan Bosack (transactions, finance & governance, New York) has over 20 years of experience guiding companies through periods of transition. Bosack has experience in separation strategy for M&A and divestiture; advising on integration and carveouts; and creating financial reporting packages, among other areas. Before Ankura, he was a VP of finance at Kodak and a VP in AlixPartners’ turnaround and restructuring practice.
William Brown (turnaround & restructuring, Houston) has more than 17 years of real estate consulting experience, with expertise in valuation and all asset classes. Brown works with a wide range of clients, including lenders, institutional investors, private equity, and financial services firms. Before joining Ankura, he was a senior director at Alvarez & Marsal, where he focused on valuation advisory.
Todd Cryblskey (disputes & economics, Washington, DC) has over 25 years of technology experience, with expertise in IT infrastructure, custom app development, data organization, analysis, and financial reporting. He has been at Ankura for the last 14 years, focusing on litigation support and trust management systems.
Michael Fey (turnaround & restructuring, Fairfield, CT) has more than two decades of experience in turnaround, working with banks and private equity to manage stressed and distressed assets for maximum returns on behalf of client-investors. Prior to Ankura, Fey worked at investment management firm Barings, where he handled a range of distressed debt, equity, and warrants in multiple portfolios.
Valerie Hart (strategy & performance, Nashville) has more than 25 years of experience in business transformation, strategic planning, change leadership, business process improvement, and sales and marketing strategies. She joined Ankura in 2018 when the firm acquired C3 Consulting, where she was a principal and managing consultant. Hart also previously ran the national consulting practice at Silicon Valley Bank, and served as its chief marketing officer.
Steve Huffines (transactions, finance & governance, San Francisco) has over 25 years of experience in financial advisory services, with particular expertise in alternative investment valuation. He previously headed the alternative investment valuation practice at Navigant (sold to Ankura in 2018), and before that was a senior manager in valuation services practice at BearingPoint.
Shelly Mady (data & technology, New York) has more than 11 years of experience in internal investigations, regulatory enforcement response, compliance monitoring, and data remediation and analytics. The certified fraud examiner previously worked in EY’s fraud investigation & dispute practice, and in Deloitte’s analytic and forensic technology practice.
Ryan M. Roy (turnaround & restructuring, Boston), also the COO of Ankura Trust Company, has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on restructuring and turnaround, special situations, and structured products. Before joining Ankura, Roy held leadership roles in credit restructuring, special situations, and risk management at Barclays Bank.
Matthew Ryan (disputes & economics, Washington, DC) has more than 12 years of disputes advisory experience, with a focus on supporting healthcare clients with forensics, litigation, disputes, and expert advisory. He was previously a director at Navigant.
Corey Smith (strategy & performance, Nashville) has more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, optimizing business processes, leading critical-growth projects, and achieving cost reductions. Before joining Ankura, Smith was a manager in Deloitte’s strategy and operations practice, and held several strategy roles at Bank of America.
John Yagerline (disputes & economics, Washington, DC) has over 30 years of experience in management, finance, operations, and software development. At Ankura, he manages resources and software development for Ankura’s Trust Online. Before joining Ankura, he was a technical project manager at ARPC and a technical delivery manager at Appian.
The firm also named Chris Clark (construction disputes & advisory, Perth, Australia) and Matthew Finn, (construction disputes & advisory, London, UK) as senior managing directors.
