Economist Kevin Caves joins Infotech Consulting
Kevin Caves, PhD, a noted expert in econometrics and microeconomics, has joined the team at Infotech Consulting, a Gainesville, FL-based provider of economics and statistical consulting services. He joins as data analysis director, and will be based in Gainesville.
Caves brings more than 15 years of consulting experience across antitrust, class actions, labor economics, mergers, price fixing, and regulation, among other areas. He has testified as an expert witness in US district court, government agencies, and arbitration, and has experience working on cases in a wide range of industries.
His work has been published in popular outlets and journals such as The Atlantic, Antitrust, Econometrica, and the George Mason Law Review, and econometric techniques he co-developed are taught to graduate students and integrated into popular statistics software Stata.
Caves previously spent two-and-a half years at Econ One Research, an economics consulting firm, where he was a partner. Before that, he spent nearly five years at Economists Incorporated, where he was a VP, and four years at Navigant Consulting, where he was a director.
Earlier in his career, Caves was a senior consultant at Deloitte. He holds a PhD in economics from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Haverford College.
