PA Consulting adds sustainability expert Tony Perrotta as partner
PA Consulting, an innovation and transformation consultancy, has welcomed Tony Perrotta as a partner in its New York office.
In his new role at PA, Perrotta will focus on supporting consumer and manufacturing clients on growth strategy, sustainability, and regenerative economy projects. He will work on bringing the consulting firm’s suite of sustainability solutions to CPG and retail companies, and will also help Swedish firm PulPac grow out its dry pulp-forming technology – which aims to provide a more sustainable alternative to commodity plastics.
Perrotta is a sales and operations executive with more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations, and leadership in consumer goods and retail. He also has expertise in sustainability, the closed loop economy, corporate social responsibility, and blockchain.
Perrotta previously served as chief revenue officer of Plastic Bank, a company that builds ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal communities, enabled by a transparent blockchain platform. Before that, he was CRO at Shopperations Research & Technology, an SaaS tool for brand retail marketing promotions.
Perrotta also previously spent 10 years at Advantage Solutions/FreshSpace Media/BoxTop Media, where he held several senior roles across business development and operations. Earlier in his career, he spent a decade at News America Marketing (now Neptune Retail Solutions), where he was latterly group sales manager for the trade and retail division.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and psychology from St. John’s University.
Wil Schoenmakers, global consumer and manufacturing practice lead at PA Consulting, said, “We welcome Tony to the team. Sustainability is no longer a ‘nice to do’ but an important ‘must do’ part of conducting business. And now is the time to act in order to meet global sustainable development goals. Our clients will benefit from Tony’s background and dedication to solving some of the world’s largest environmental and sustainability challenges.”
PA’s sustainability practice helps clients build sustainability strategies, create sustainable organizations, and develop sustainable products and services. Recent engagements include creating a plastic-free, compostable tea bag for Tea Sheets; developing lightweight recycling packaging for Dunnet Bay Distillers; and helping Stuffstr build a circular economy business model.
"I’m excited and honored to be of service to PA, especially at a time when ingenuity is the only path to overcoming the sustainability challenges we face as a global community,” said Perrotta. “Now more than ever, the call to action for sustainable practices, beneficial impact and the regenerative economy require transformative innovation.”
PA Consulting also recently added organizational consultant Radhika Philip as a partner in its people and talent practice in New York.
