Arthur D. Little (ADL), a global management consultancy, has acquired Meridian Advisory Group (MAG), a Princeton, NJ-based management consulting firm specializing in media and telecom.

Founded in 2010, MAG delivers strategy, solution design, and implementation to the media and telecom sector, leveraging deep relationships with technology vendors. The boutique firm helps clients address pressing sector issues, including OTT video, digital advertisements, customer data & analytics, technology rationalization, and wireless network design.

The firm’s leadership team, which consists of partners Shahid Khan, Mark Rowland, George Yun, and Fred Boxa, has deep expertise across the entire media and wireless value chain, including content creation, programming, advertising, applications, distribution, and consumer electronics.

MAG is led by managing partner Shahid Khan, who has more than 25 years of sector experience. Prior to founding MAG, Khan was a senior partner and head of the media industry at IBB Consulting Group (now Accenture). Before that, he was managing director of the media & entertainment practice at BearingPoint and a partner in IBM Global Services’ communication sector practice.Arthur D. Little acquires media and telecom consultancy MAG“The acquisition of MAG is an exciting addition to ADL’s continued expansion in the US market and beyond,” said Craig Wylie, managing partner of ADL US. “It follows ADL’s recent partner-level hires in the US Travel and Transportation, and Energy sectors.”

The Brussels-based firm earlier this year hired Chuck Goodnight as a partner in its energy & utilities practice and head of the nuclear energy team in the US and Jim Miller as a partner and head of the US travel & transportation practice.

The firm – which offers strategy, operations, and technology consulting to a range of industries – has been working to expand its US presence, where it currently has offices in Boston, Houston, and San Francisco, as well as project offices in New York and Southern California. ADL hopes to double its US presence in 2021, and further double in 2022/2023.

“Our team at MAG is thrilled to join ADL,” said Khan. “Our culture blends perfectly with ADL’s emphasis on client-focused innovation, execution, and entrepreneurial spirit, while our experience with some of the world’s leading media brands will bring new ideas and opportunities for advances within the industry.”

ADL has more than 1,000 professionals across offices in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia.
