Sheffield Haworth adds Wendy Schmidt as senior advisor
Sheffield Haworth, a global talent consultancy and recruiter, has added retired Deloitter Wendy Schmidt as a senior advisor in the US professional services practice.
Founded in 1993 in London, Sheffield Haworth focuses on executive search and interim placements for clients in the consulting, technology, and financial services sectors. The firm, which has 150 professionals across offices on four continents, also provides services in leadership development and risk and technology consulting.
Schmidt previously spent 17 years at Deloitte, retiring in 2017 after serving as leader of the global business intelligence services practice. A former litigator, Schmidt has more than 30 years of experience developing background information and intelligence for commercial and government clients in the context of due diligence, fraud, investigations, and litigation support. Schmidt has worked with law firms, corporations, financial institutions, and government agencies.
Schmidt was also one of the national and global leaders of Deloitte’s Women’s Initiative Network, and was a board member of the National Association of Women Lawyers. She currently serves on the board of the New York chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
She holds and LLB from Northeastern University School of Law and a BA in psychology from Yale University.
Schmidt will bring her deep expertise and networks to support Sheffield Haworth’s executive search offering for forensic & litigation consulting in particular.
