Guidehouse, a global management and technology consulting firm, has announced a new headquarters operation in Tysons Corner, Fairfax County, Virginia.

The consulting firm, whose previous headquarters were in neighboring McLean (also in Fairfax County), will invest $12.7 million to establish its new state-of-the art headquarters. Located at 1676 International Drive, the Tysons Corner office will create approximately 1,000 new jobs in Virginia over the next three years and will house more than 1,500 employees at capacity. It is slated to open later this year.

The headquarters will feature an open-air conservatory, green spaces for outdoor gatherings, and proximity to dining options in the Boro.

Guidehouse also chose the Fairfax County location because of the county's quality healthcare, access to postgraduate academic institutions, and sustainability commitments, according to a release from the consulting firm.

“Guidehouse is proud to announce our new corporate headquarters in Tysons, Fairfax County's largest business district,” said CEO Scott McIntyre. “This move will allow us to best accommodate growth, serve our people and clients, and attract talent. Virginia offers a highly skilled workforce and business-friendly climate, making it an ideal location for Guidehouse's future.”

Guidehouse, which offers consulting services to public sector as well as commercial clients in highly regulated industries, ultimately decided to keep its headquarters in Virginia over competing destinations in Maryland and DC-proper.

“The Guidehouse leadership team had any number of choices to consider for the firm’s global headquarters, so it speaks volumes that they chose a Fairfax County location,” said Victor Hoskins, president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA).

The consulting firm will have access to the Virginia Job Investment Program, which delivers consulting and state funding to companies creating new jobs. Guidehouse will also tap benefits from the Major Business Facility Job Tax Credit for new, full-time jobs created.

The firm has more than 9,000 professionals across over 50 locations globally.
