Mercer promotes Kevin Poff and Lisa Stella within career business
HR consultancy Mercer has promoted Kevin Poff to leader of the US West career market and Lisa Stella to US Southern California career office business leader. Both are based in Los Angeles.
In his new role, Poff will oversee the strategic direction for Mercer’s US West career line of business – which advises on talent strategy, executive compensation, rewards, mobility, communications, and HR transformation and technology. He will also be responsible for growing market awareness and driving revenue growth.
Poff has spent the last 15 years at Mercer, joining the firm as an analyst in 2006, becoming a principal in 2013, and joining the firm’s partnership in 2019. He has extensive experience leading human capital consulting teams that help companies integrate rewards, talent, workforce analytics, and communications solutions.
Poff previously led the Southern California career business. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
Stella succeeds Poff in the role of Southern California career business leader, where she will be responsible for career clients and consultants in Orange County and SoCal.
Stella has spent the last nine years at Mercer, most recently serving as a principal and senior consultant in the career business line. She has deep expertise advising on talent strategy, rewards, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Prior to joining Mercer, Stella was director of nonprofit programs at A-List Education, a tutoring and test prep company. She holds an MBA from UCLA, a master’s degree from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
“We are thrilled to have Kevin and Lisa take on these key leadership roles,” said Macaire Pace, Mercer’s West market CEO. “As we look to manage risk, responsibility, and a return to the office post-pandemic, we are confident that their experience and proven track record will help us deliver exceptional client service, while fueling our growth across the West.”
Mercer is headquartered in New York and advises on health and benefits, workforce and career, investments and pensions, and mergers and acquisitions. The firm, which is a part of the Marsh & McLennan group of companies, has more than 25,000 professionals in 44 countries.
The firm recently named Mary Ann Sardone as US East career business.
