Nardello & Co. welcomes John Auerbach as managing director
Nardello & Co., a global investigations consultancy, has welcomed John Auerbach as a managing director in its New York headquarters.
Auerbach brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate investigations, litigation, compliance assessments, and M&A advisory. He specializes in corporate integrity issues related to anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance, third-party risk management, and financial fraud.
A fluent Mandarin speaker, Auerbach has a decade of experience assisting multinational firms in investigations involving fraud and irregularities in Asia-Pacific operations. He has particular expertise conducting Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and risk assessments in China.
Auerbach spent the last two-and-a-half years at Berkeley Research Group as a managing director in the consulting firm’s New York office. Before that, he spent more than 12 years at EY, latterly as a partner in the forensic & integrity services practice in New York. Auerbach also spent nine years as managing partner of EY’s forensic practice in Greater China.
Before that, he spent four years at Kroll, where he was a managing director and China country manager. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he was a manager in the fraud and investigative services group in New York.
Auerbach holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies from Bowdoin College.
