Vaco, a Nashville-headquartered recruitment consulting firm, has combined MorganFranklin Consulting – its management consulting subsidiary – with Plantensive, its supply chain consulting arm.

The simplification will give McLean, VA-based MorganFranklin a supply chain consulting practice. Acquired by Vaco in 2019, MorganFranklin offers finance, technology, cybersecurity, and business consulting services.

The combination will add approximately 50 professionals from Plantensive to MorganFranklin’s approximately 450 people. Dan Luttner and Derek Cesarz, managing partners of Plantensive, will join MorganFranklin’s leadership team.

Reading, PA-based Plantensive was acquired by Vaco in 2018. The firm provides supply chain and retail planning solutions to clients in manufacturing, CPG, retail, and distribution. Plantensive’s offerings span strategy, technology implementation, optimization, category management, and managed services.

Since its founding in 2002, the firm has completed more than 300 major projects on 5 continents. Plantensive’s technology partners include AWS, SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, and Tableau.

“I have seen firsthand the value the Plantensive team brings to clients and appreciate the hands-on approach of their leaders,” said Chris Mann, CEO of MorganFranklin Consulting. “Our teams are already culturally aligned and committed to both collaboration and excellence in client service delivery, so I look forward to the great things we can achieve together.”

Since being acquired by Vaco, MorganFranklin has bolted on the enterprise resource planning practice of Kraft Enterprise Systems and sold its public sector consulting division to BDO.

MorganFranklin earlier this year opened Nashville and Raleigh offices. The DC-area firm has additional locations in New York, Atlanta, LA, and San Francisco.

“The Plantensive team is excited to officially become part of MorganFranklin,” Luttner said. “Fully integrating Plantensive into MorganFranklin is a decision that makes absolute sense to our firm and we expect a frictionless transition as we have already been delivering our combined services to clients and sharing systems and processes as part of the Vaco family.”
