Manny Picciola has been elected leader of the Americas region at L.E.K. Consulting, a global management consulting firm.

Picciola – a Chicago-based managing director and partner – succeeds Robert Rourke, who has completed a three-year term as L.E.K.'s Americas region head. Rourke moves on to serve as vice chair of the global industrials sector.

“It has been an honor to serve as the Americas Region Head, and I am very excited about the future of the region under Manny’s careful stewardship – and excited about L.E.K.’s increasingly important role for companies and their leaders around the world,” Rourke said.

Picciola has been at L.E.K. since 2008, most recently serving as global co-head of the consumer sector. He has more than 20 years of consulting experience and has directed more than 500 projects in strategy, channel management, consumer segmentation, turnaround, and M&A.

“L.E.K. has been experiencing significant growth as business leaders increasingly turn to us for strategic counsel on critical decisions related to the especially fast and dramatic changes in the marketplace and consumer habits. Manny Picciola has been highly instrumental in enabling our teams to help companies and their leaders envision, influence and prepare for their futures,” said global managing partner Clay Heskett, who was elevated to L.E.K.’s top role earlier this year.

Prior to joining L.E.K., Picciola was a senior vice president of strategic business units at e-learning company Thomson NETg and a consultant at The Callidon Group, a boutique management consultancy. He began his career at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, where he was a senior consultant.

Picciola holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois.

“I’m honored and excited to have been elected to Head of the Americas Region,” Picciola said. “Because of our exceptionally committed and talented team members in the US, we are well positioned to maintain our track record of growth and expand upon the strategic insights we provide to clients. I’m especially grateful to Rob Rourke for the momentum he created during his highly successful tenure in this role.”

L.E.K. has Americas region offices in Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Sao Paulo. The firm has more than 1,600 employees in 20 offices across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. L.E.K. supports large organizations in a range of industries, including consumer products, retail, financial services, industrials, healthcare and life sciences, TMT, and private equity.
