Evan Szarenski joins DCI Consulting as senior consultant
Evan Szarenski, a former director at the US Department of Labor, has joined DCI Consulting as a senior consultant in the firm’s audit strategy and regulatory affairs team.
Szareski will join the Washington, DC headquarters of DCI, a human resources risk management consulting firm. As part of the audit and regulatory team, he will advise clients on the full lifecycle of Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) audit support, from submission to closure.
Szarenski spent the last 11 years at the Department of Labor’s OFCCP, which is responsible for ensuring federal contractor compliance with non-discrimination laws. He most recently served as director of regional operations, setting the framework for compliance reviews, investigations, and enforcement priorities relating to the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment and Assistance Act, among others.
He has a JD from the University of New Hampshire and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan.
"Evan Szarenski brings incredible insight to DCI with his experience at OFCCP ensuring contractor compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Our clients will benefit from his breadth of knowledge," David Cohen, president of DCI, said.
DCI was founded in 2001 and provides consulting in pay equity, DEI metrics, affirmative action plan development and implementation, employee selection and test validation, and OFCCP audit and litigation support. The consultancy has a team of more than 80 employees, according to LinkedIn, and works with clients across aerospace and defense, education, healthcare, pharma, financial services, manufacturing, technology, and retail.
The firm’s audit and regulatory team helps clients negotiate with the OFCCP and navigate the audit process, providing support in strategy, additional analyses, and back pay calculations.
