FTI Consulting adds five managing directors in health and CFO practices

FTI Consulting has hired five managing directors in its health and CFO solutions practices. Raj Mukherjee, Josh Sol, and Nathan Cooperman, MD have joined the management consultancy’s digital health offering within the health practice, while Todd Cohen and Derek Sappenfield have joined the CFO solutions practice within the corporate finance and restructuring segment.

Mukherjee (New York) brings more than 13 years of management and technology consulting experience leading end-to-end digital transformation engagements. He previously led the digital IT strategy and cybersecurity risk management practices at BDO Digital. Before that, Mukherjee worked at Kurt Salmon, Opera Solutions, and Arcadia Solutions.

Sol (Houston) has 15 years of experience in healthcare IT and digital transformation. He has implemented numerous systems that improve patient satisfaction, EHR adoption and usability, and efficiencies in various clinical divisions. Sol was previously administrative director at Houston Methodist health system.

Cooperman (New York) has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles as a consultant and physician. He has led large transformation engagements for health systems, academic medical centers, physician practices and commercial startups. Cooperman ran his independent healthcare consultancy for the last decade, having previously worked in the healthcare consulting practice of PwC.FTI Consulting adds five managing directors in health and CFO practices“Our clients across the healthcare continuum are dealing with evolving digital challenges,” said Deepak Chaudhry, who was named FTI's national digital health leader in April. “Raj, Josh, and Nathan bring deep operational knowledge and passion to our growing practice, and they will help our clients develop and implement the frameworks needed to mitigate risk and navigate complex challenges.”

Cohen (Los Angeles) is a financial professional with 30 years of experience. He will work with FTI clients on finance transformation, service delivery model change, RPA implementation, and preparation for transactions and IPOs.

Cohen previously ran his independent finance and operational consultancy. Before that he spent over 20 years in the in the media and entertainment industry, serving as VP of global finance transformation at Twentieth Century Fox and VP of finance at Paramount Pictures. He started his career in the audit practice of KPMG.

Sappenfield (Washington, DC) has over 25 years of experience with a focus on planning, designing, and executing operating model transformation for a wide range of industries. He previously held senior leadership roles at PwC and IBM, where he led teams advising on service delivery redesign and automation. Sappenfield has two decades of Big Four accounting and consulting experience helping clients transform their back-office operations, including outsourcing and offshoring.
