Cognizant buys select businesses of Workday partner OneSource Virtual
Cognizant has acquired the professional services and application management practices of OneSource Virtual, a Dallas-headquartered Workday consulting firm. Financial terms of transaction, which is expected to finalize by year-end, were not disclosed.
The deal will add nearly 400 employees in the US, Canada, and the UK to Cognizant’s Workday practice. The OneSource team will bring additional capabilities in consulting, deployment, and post-deployment.
The team will join the Collaborative Solutions sub-brand, an experienced Workday partner that was acquired by Cognizant in 2020.
"We believe that our shared value of customer centricity makes Cognizant the ideal home for our professional services and application management services businesses while we concentrate on the Business Process as a Service (BPaaS) division going forward," said Trey Campbell, CEO of OneSource Virtual.
OneSource has approximately 1,000 employees, according to LinkedIn. The firm was founded in 2008 and has worked with more than 1,300 companies on finance, HR, and payroll technology projects. OneSource says it pioneered business process as a service (BPaaS), which will now form the core of its remaining offering.
“Adoption and migration to the cloud to manage workflows is only accelerating, and the Workday platform ecosystem continues to be embraced as a critical tool to provide finance, HR, and other functions greater resiliency and agility,” said Rob Vatter, EVP of Cognizant's enterprise platform services. “Acquiring the professional services and application management practices from OneSource Virtual enables Cognizant to expand our client offerings and provide end-to-end support in the business transformation journey."
Headquartered in Teaneck, NJ, Cognizant is one of the world’s largest providers of technology consulting and outsourced services. The firm has 341,300 people globally and annual revenue of $18.5 billion.
