Ryan Belyea joins Bowman Consulting as chief digital officer
Ryan Belyea has joined Bowman Consulting, a Reston, VA-headquartered infrastructure consultancy, as EVP and inaugural chief digital officer.
Based in Raleigh, Belyea will partner with senior executives to embed digital offerings into existing and new business lines and align digital strategies with acquisitions and IT systems development.
“Our industry is rapidly evolving, and Bowman is embracing these trends by investing in digital strategies to marry our expertise in traditional engineering practices with new technologies that bring advanced services to our clients and create new pathways for company growth,” said Gary Bowman, chairman and CEO of Bowman. “Ryan is a seasoned leader who will bring our internal and external digital transformation vision to fruition, and help Bowman lead the market for delivering these services to our customers.”
Belyea brings more than 25 years of industry experience to Bowman. He joins the firm from Aecom, where he spent the last 8 years as department head of information management solutions, overseeing service offerings in GIS, SharePoint, and application development, among other areas.
Before that, Belyea spent over 13 years at URS (acquired by Aecom), where he was also department head of information management solutions. Before that, he held various leadership roles in GIS services, including practice director.
Belyea has a master’s degree in natural resources from North Carolina State University and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
