Empower AI hires Pamela Rothka as CFO
Empower AI, an IT consultancy serving the federal government, has hired Pamela Rothka as chief financial officer.
Based in the Washington metropolitan area, Rothka will oversee all aspects of Empower AI’s financial, treasury, and corporate strategies – including financial planning and analysis, capital and cash management, accounting functions, and M&A. She will also manage external audit and lender relationships.
Rothka brings nearly 30 years of financial leadership experience, including holding CFO roles at several large federal contractors. She was previously CFO at ECS, Octo Consulting Group, and Buchanan & Edwards. Before that, Rothka was VP of finance and controller at Whitney, Bradley & Brown and CFO for the US public sector at Hewlett-Packard.
Earlier in her career, Rothka spent 15 years at Lockheed Martin, where she was controller of the global training and logistics division.
She began her career as a certified public accountant at a Big Four accounting firm.
Rothka has an MBA from Temple University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Drexel University.
“We are very pleased to welcome Pamela to Empower AI’s leadership team,” said Jeff Bohling, CEO of Empower AI. “Her disciplined approach to finance and significant experience of delivering results across our industry makes her an ideal fit for Empower AI and our focus on long-term growth.”
Empower AI (formerly NCI Information Systems) provides defense and civilian agencies with services in application development, infrastructure modernization, engineering and integration, IT service management, artificial intelligence, and mission support.
Headquartered in Reston, VA, Empower AI has additional locations in Richmond, VA and Sierra Vista, AZ. The firm has 402 employees listed on LinkedIn.
KKR, a New York-based investment firm, acquired a majority stake in Empower AI in February.
“I am excited to join the Empower AI team,” Rothka said. “It is truly an honor to join an exceptional group of leaders and work with KKR to provide the transformative solutions that help make our nation more secure.”
