B. Riley Financial, a Los Angeles-based diversified financial services company, has welcomed Larry Kanter as a senior managing director within its consulting arm B. Riley Advisory Services.

Based in Dallas, Kanter joins the firm’s forensic accounting and litigation support practice. He brings more than 35 years of experience in forensic accounting and fraud investigations.

Kanter has supported law firms and Fortune 100s and international businesses across a wide range of industries. He has provided expert testimony to federal and state courts as well as arbitration panels on matters relating to GAAP, internal controls, damages quantification, fraud investigations, and forensic accounting investigations.

Kanter spent the last 12 years running his independent consultancy, Kanter Financial Forensics. Before that, he spent four years as a managing director at Alvarez & Marsal, where he founded and led its forensic data analytics practice. Earlier in his career, Kanter was a partner at EY and PwC.
