Mike Pongon joins Pioneer Management Consulting's advisory board
Mike Pongon, former CEO of Point B, has joined the advisory board of Minneapolis-based Pioneer Management Consulting.
Pongon, who has more than 25 years of consulting sector experience, is the inaugural member of the advisory board – which will provide Pioneer with strategic guidance and expertise as it scales operations nationally.
Pongon will provide guidance on national expansion, talent acquisition, and service offerings, among other areas.
“We're thrilled to have Mike join our Advisory Team. His track record of scaling consulting firms and experience leading high-performing teams will be invaluable as we enter our next stage of growth," said Molly Koenen, partner and owner at Pioneer.
Pongon retired from Point B in January 2022 after 21 years with the management consultancy, including 11 years as CEO. During his tenure as chief executive he grew the company to more than 1,000 people across 12+ offices nationwide.
Before joining Point B, Pongon was a project manager at supply chain consultancy DBM Systems and an analyst at Morgan Stanley.
He is currently an advisory board member at ProCogia, a Vancouver-based data consulting firm, and an executive coach and advisor at Vista Capital Partners.
“I'm excited to work with Pioneer's dynamic leadership team during this pivotal moment in the firm's growth trajectory. Pioneer has built an impressive organization anchored in real results for their clients and strong values. I look forward to helping take it to even greater heights," said Pongon.
Pioneer was founded in 2009 and provides consulting services in strategy, execution, organizational effectiveness, and data analytics.
The firm has 72 employees listed on LinkedIn and has offices in Minneapolis and Denver.
