Edgeworth Economics launches consumer protection practice
Edgeworth Economics, a Washington, DC-based economic consulting firm, has formally launched its consumer protection practice.
The new practice will support clients in class action and individual action litigation related to allegations of product mislabeling or defects, false advertising, violations of the False Claims Act, unfair or deceptive practices, and cyberattack liability. The practice’s experts will advise clients across all stages of litigation, including assisting with discovery, providing economic analyses, and assessing potential damages at trial.
Edgeworth says the expansion and formalization of the practice is a response to the growing demand for sophisticated economic analysis in an increasingly litigated space.
The newly formed practice includes recent hire Branko Jovanovic, PhD, a partner with more than 20 years of experience as a consulting and testifying expert focusing on securities, finance, and consumer protection. The other leaders in the consumer protection practice are Jesse David, PhD, partner; Michael Kheyfets, partner; and Sushrut Jain, managing principal.
