Executive search firm Boyden hires new leaders in Denmark

US-based executive search consultancy Boyden has appointed two new managing partners in Denmark to lead the firm’s operations in the Nordic country. The new leadership team consisting of Morten Winther and Henrik Harbo will operate out of Copenhagen and Aarhus.

Purchase, NY-based Boyden is one of the world’s leading executive search firms. Founded in 1946, the company has more than 65 offices in over 40 countries – expanding operations into the Nordic region in 1986. After experiencing significant growth in its Nordic operations – which include Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark – the firm announced earlier this year that it would be expanding its expertise and capabilities in its Copenhagen office.

Now, the firm has brought in seasoned consultants and executive search professionals Morten Winther and Henrik Harbo to lead the firm’s offices in Copenhagen and Aarhus. The opening of the Aarhus location makes Boyden the only global top ten executive search firm with two Danish offices. Both Winther and Harbo join Boyden from Flensby & Partners, one of Scandinavia’s top executive search firms.At Flensby, Winther was a Partner and Chief Commercial Officer for over six years. Before that, he was Commercial Director at strategy consultancy NRGi Administration, and Head of Business Development at vehicle exhaust firm Grundfos NoNOx. Prior to that, Winther was a Founder and Managing Partner at strategy consulting firm GuideStone, and Denmark’s Trade Commissioner in Montreal, Canada.

At Boyden, Winther will focus on high-profile C-suite searches in industries including Technology, Industrial, Healthcare, and Private Equity.

Henrik Harbo was at Flensby & Partners for almost nine years, first as a Partner and later serving as Managing Partner, Denmark. Before that, he worked in EY’s Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory practice for over eight years, first as a Senior Manager and then as a Partner. Harbo started his career as a Financial Manager at A.P. Moller-Maersk.

As a Managing Partner at Boyden Denmark, Harbo will leverage his extensive experience in executive search, corporate finance, private equity, and M&A.
