Trinity Consultants buys Waid Environmental
Trinity Consultants, a Dallas-headquartered environmental consulting firm, has acquired Waid Environmental, an Austin-based engineering and environmental services firm.
Founded in 1978, Waid has 25 employees across offices in Austin and Houston. The firm specializes in air compliance and waste and wastewater management, with services in permit and compliance strategy, regulatory analysis and reporting, air quality analysis, compliance audits and resolution, and training and education.
Trinity’s acquisition of Waid will further strengthen its air quality and environmental compliance capabilities in Texas.

The Waid leadership team, including president and principal engineer Jason Graves, will remain after the deal’s closure. The Waid team will join Trinity’s Austin and Houston offices.

Trinity was acquired by private equity firm Oak Hill Partners in 2021. Trinity in 2022 bolted on Aztec, an industrial automation consultancy, and Ecofish Research, an environmental consultancy.
The company has more than 1,000 professionals across 70+ offices in the North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. It provides EHS, engineering, and scientific-focused consulting, technology, training, and staffing services to clients in the industrial, energy, manufacturing, mining, life sciences, and commercial/institutional sectors.
