Accenture acquires supply chain specialist OnProcess Technology
Accenture has agreed to acquire OnProcess Technology, a Boston-based provider of supply chain managed services.
Founded in 1998, OnProcess specializes in reverse logistics for the after-sales process. The firm’s software-as-a-service platform Agora utilizes automation and AI to drive better visibility from planning to asset recovery.
OnProcess manages 20 million service orders and return transactions per year across 110+ countries. The company has more than 1,500 employees in the US, Costa Rica, Bulgaria, and India.
OnProcess supports clients in industries such as communications, media and technology, medical devices, logistics, and manufacturing.
Accenture’s acquisition of OnProcess will enhance its supply chain capabilities in asset recovery and service supply chain management.“With OnProcess and its highly qualified professionals, we are strengthening our ability to help organizations in their supply chain reinvention efforts, enabling them to leverage domain talent, data and processes, to transform operations successfully,” said Melissa Twiningdavis, senior managing director of supply chain operations, Accenture.
Oliver Lemanski, CEO of OnProcess, added, “OnProcess is trusted by many of the world leading manufacturers and service providers to power their service and aftermarket supply chains. Accenture will provide our people with exciting new opportunities and expand the value we can deliver to our clients with services and capabilities that create end-to-end solutions.”
The transaction, which is awaiting the standard antitrust clearances, will see investment firm Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office exit its majority stake in OnProcess.
Accenture also today announced an agreement to acquire 6point6, a UK-based technology consultancy with approximately 400 employees.
The Dublin-headquartered consultancy last month announced the acquisition of Comtech, a Canada-based civil engineering firm.
