Associate Media Designers work on paper-based and digital deliverables to solve client problems across many industries, including hospitality, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, retail, and many others. As an Associate Media Designer, you will develop your graphic design capability, interpersonal and communication skills, and time management while working alongside other Graphic Designers, Digital Artists, Illustrators, Filmmakers, and Learning Designers.

The designer applies design and media skills within an established process with high attention to detail while being dedicated to meet or exceed expectations and requirements of internal and external clients.

The position requires a self-motivated, organized, and driven individual who can work with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will understand project team expectations and be flexible, deadline sensitive, and willing to adapt in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will work to streamline repeatable tasks with high-quality and efficiency across a broad set of deliverables (rapid authoring, paper-based design, film production). Over time, the career path would be toward developing deep expertise in a specific area (for example, learning design, filmmaking, illustration) by elevating those skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and repetitive tasks; build/maintain systems to make these tasks more efficient/effective
  • Complete changes on project files to a high-quality standard
  • Design, integrate, and prepare all necessary components to deliver the full range of learning solutions and products under direction of a Manager and/or Coach
  • Manage multiple projects with tight timeframes with guidance from Manager and/or Coach
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams concerning all aspects of projects, including expectations of design, turnaround time, corrections, approvals, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • BA or BFA in graphic design, visual communication, technology, or informational graphics-related major
  • 1–2 years experience in the graphic or production design profession
  • Portfolio of recent design work
  • Expertise using Macintosh and Windows environments
  • Fluent in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong technical skills with an ability to learn/use rapid authoring (Articulate Rise) and content management (Contentful) software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle ambiguity
