DCI Consulting acquires Human Resource Specialties

DCI Consulting, a Washington, DC-based human resources risk management consultancy, has acquired Human Resource Specialties Inc. (HR Specialties), a boutique firm specializing in affirmative action plan consulting.

Founded in 1984, HR Specialties provides employers and attorneys with consulting services in affirmative action plan (AAP) preparation, OFCCP audit support, and pay equity analyses.

The firm is based in Missoula, Montana and has 14 employees, according to LinkedIn.

DCI’s acquisition of HR Specialties will further strengthen its AAP consulting practice. The firm in 2022 acquired Glenn Barlett Consulting Services, an affirmative action compliance consultancy based in Englishtown, NJ, and in 2023 acquired Gerstco, a San Jose-based firm specializing in AAP software and consulting.

DCI in a press release said it will retain “key personnel” from HR Specialties.

DCI was founded in 2001 and has more than 90 employees, according to LinkedIn. The firm advises companies and law firms on HR areas such as pay equity; DEI; AAP development and implementation; employee selection and test validation; and OFCCP audit and litigation.
